You already know you want a suit. You’ve probably known for a while. The moment you got engaged, queer bridal suits just made sense in a way you couldn’t quite explain. It felt like you.
The hard part shows up when someone asks what it’s going to look like. You don’t have an answer. No fabric in mind, no lapel preference, and no vocabulary for what you’re even supposed to be deciding.
The biggest misconception is that you are supposed to arrive to a consultation appointment with clarity. You’re not. The consultation is not the point where you need to figure out every detail of your suit. Instead, it’s where our process begins.
We talk through your wedding, your style, and how you want to feel when you’re wearing the suit. What usually surprises people is how quickly things start to take shape once they’re actually in the process. A lot of clients exploring queer bridal suits think they have no vision at all, but in reality they just haven’t been asked the right questions or seen enough inspiration photographs.
After the consultation, we help you further your vision. This looks like browsing pinterest, social media, and fabrics.
This is the point where things tend to shift. You will start feeling drawn to certain suit photographs. You might start saving suits in a handful of colors and styles. You might not realize it, but what you like will show up as similar characteristics in the suit photographs. We will see the patterns and guide you through the process.
By the time you come back for your customization appointment, you’re no longer browsing queer bridal suits instead, you’re ready to start building your wedding suit. As we select fabrics and customizations, we keep your inspiration photos in mind. This helps us design a suit using your newly found vision. That vision is tweaked even further after you get to try on a mock suit to “see” the suit for yourself.
