The Wedding Checklist
A common experience among engaged women is the tendency to immediately go find one, or several, wedding checklists. There is an urge to get going on planning the wedding and to be able to check off each step along the way. I’m not sure if this is simply because planning a wedding has a lot of steps or because there always seems to be someone else who is one step ahead making you feel behind. One of those items is wedding attire, which if you are in the market for a suit, will be a women’s wedding suit.
There is nothing wrong with checklists! My wife and I had a checklist and a dry erase board filled with monthly “to dos” before our big day. We both needed wedding attire, but when we purchased ended up being vastly different and this was mostly due to circumstances out of our control. However, at the end of the day, we both ended up with our outfits with plenty of time before the wedding.
When is the right time to purchase your women’s wedding suit?
Last week I had two different clients come in for a consult for a women’s wedding suit. One is getting married in 2 months and the other in 4 months. Both wanted their outfit checked off their wedding “to do” list, but neither were overly stressed about it. The week prior, I had two other clients reach out to make sure we offered women’s wedding suits, but their weddings are not for 6 months to a year.
The moral of the story: The best time to purchase your wedding suit is when you are ready to do so!

We always encourage our wedding clients to leave themselves enough time for getting the suit pressed and any final alterations you may like before your big day. However, we can do rushed orders if necessary.
