FAQs

Do I need to be located in Charlotte, NC?

Nope. We offer both in-person and virtual appointments so we can serve those in the Charlotte area and beyond.

Do you accept walk-ins?

No. Due to limited space and our desire to give our clients one-on-one attention, we are “by-appointment” only.

Can I bring others with me to my appointments?

Yes. We love getting to meet your friends and family. However, please keep in mind that we are located in a small space and for that reason we kindly request that you bring no more than 2 additional people.

How does the process work?

The process includes three steps: the consultation & measurement, the customization and styling, and the final fitting. Read about this process in-depth here.

Consultation & Measurement: A free appointment that lets us get to know each other and discuss what you are looking for! After this discussion we take your measurements so our manufacturer can create a “mock garment” at a low cost to you.

Customization & Styling: Your second appointment that you will book when we’ve reached out, letting you know your “mock garment” is ready. This is where the magic happens! At this appointment you will choose your fabric, buttons, linings, style, customizations, etc and then be able to try on your “mock piece” so you get an idea of how the final product looks and feels. It allows us to alter any measurements so that your final piece is close to perfection!

Final Fitting: Your last appointment! We will reach out to have you book this appointment when your final piece is ready for you to try-on and pick-up.

If at this point, you feel more alterations are necessary we do partner with a tailor.

Do you handle alterations?

No, we do not do alterations but we are partnered with an alterations specialist. While we want every item of clothing to be as close as possible to your unique measurements, you should expect a final alteration to get everything fitting exactly how you want it.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes. Since we are a small boutique, when you book an appointment, you are taking up a space that is no longer available for someone else. We therefore collect a small deposit in order to hold your appointment slot. If you cancel your appointment within 24 hours of your booked appointment time, or you do not arrive for your appointment, you forfeit the deposited amount.

What is the turnaround time?

We need, at minimum, three months from the time you book your “Consultation and Measurement” appointment to the time you receive it for the “Final Fitting” appointment. However, it would be wise to build in additional time for minor alterations and cleaning.

With our new process it takes about one month (after the consultation) to get your “Mock Garment” in and then an additional month after the “Customization and Styling” appointment to get your final piece. Then we want you to have time to do final alterations and get your outfit pressed or steamed.
